Virtual Distributor Conference
Senko Europe has always placed a very high value on two way dialogue with our distributors, giving you the chance to input directly to the manufacturing organisation. The conference is scheduled for 8th July at 9am BST (10am CEST) and will be attended by colleagues from the Headquarters in Korea as well as Senko Europe.
It is a great opportunity to get up to date information about new products, and have an input into the future development plans for Senko, all of which are on the agenda. The meeting will be hosted on Zoho Meeting. The spaces for the conference will be limited to ensure it is manageable within the technology so If you would like to attend please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to register, you will then receive a link to join the meeting.
COVID19 - Coronavirus Update
It can hardly have escaped your attention that the world is gripped with the spread of the COVID – 19 corona virus. Most countries are affected and most also have put in place measures to prevent the spread of the virus which include social exclusion and home working. Whilst this has slowed down the progress of the virus it has also impacted upon the way everyone does business. It is important to us all at Senko that we can continue to support our European network and so we wanted to update on the current situation regarding supplies, stock holding and lead times for our products during this difficult time.
The Senko manufacturing plant in Korea has had few real problems with supplying finished product and deliveries from Korea are arriving usually within two weeks of ordering. Some of the components are on extended lead times as they come to the factory from China, but so far this has not caused significant issues with meeting delivery requirements.
The European stock, in the UK has been maintained and remains available for immediate deliveries. Our standard method for dispatch is with DHL, who have advised us that they continue to provide a service for the whole of Europe despite there being travel restrictions in place in certain countries. Please check locally to see if more local restrictions apply. DHL provide updates about their service in Europe on the following link: https://www.dhlparcel.nl/en/business/corona-europe.
In general we will do everything we can to ensure that we minimise the impact of the measures in place on your business, and will keep you informed about developments. In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns please contact us at email@example.com.
After that period of manufacture it should be the black one. The easy way to distinguish is, please pay attention to the colour of sensor (O2) when you open the instrument and replace with same colour. However, if the instrument is not in your hand, you can check the manufacturing date of the instrument using serial number pattern as below; (SI=2018, SJ="2019," SK="2020):
New Product - iGas CO2 Personal Monitor
We expect to have sample and demonstration units available from the end of March. The product name will be iGas and a new datasheet with full specifications is available now. Likewise the product image is available for website or local promotion.

New Product - SGT P
The sensor and the battery can be exchanged at the end of their life and replaced with a new one. This makes the SGT P exceptionally cost effective and flexible. With a price point near to that of a standard clip and the ability to be refreshed and renewed every two years. This also makes the device exceptionally green and environmentally friendly as it is no longer necessary to dispose of the monitor after two years use.
It is available for the following gas types; oxygen, carbon, monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen, chlorine and nitrogen dioxide. The product will formally launch in November 2019 and will be on show at the A+A exhibition in Dusseldorf.
During September I had the chance to visit the Senko headquarters in Suwon, South Korea. It was a year since I made my initial visit to arrange the creation of Senko EU to support our development in Europe and such a lot has happened in that time. Senko has grown substantially with many new people and the Senko’s European network has grown too. We now have 21 distributors operating in 21 countries across Europe and have grown by over 360% in the last year. We are delighted to welcome new partners in Greece and Bulgaria and look forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year. forward to expanding our network further over the coming year.
Our solid product line based around the MGT P and N, SGT and Sp2nd will be expanded over the coming months with new developments, many of which will be displayed at A+A in Dusseldorf. We hope these will help our existing partners find new markets and customers and help us all to grow further in 2020.
Distribution in Germany
The Senko Europe distribution network continues to grow and we are really pleased to be able to announce that we have agreed to work with HTK Hamburg as our distribution in Germany. In 1978, HTK Hamburg was founded as a subsidiary of a large Hamburg trading house. HTK Hamburg became independent in 1993 and is now successfully run by the second generation of the Baumert family.
Initially as a small two-man operation, HTKHamburg was only involved in trading complex technical products. In only 7 years, it has developed from a dealer to a manufacturer. Their first in-house gas mixing, gas analysis and gas warning systems, as well as systems for gas control and regulation were delivered in 2000.
HTK Hamburg currently employs 30 people at their main location in Hamburg. They constantly improve their own products, and develop new OEM products like the Senko portable products and ATEX certified detection heads, which perfectly compliment their portfolio. It’s great to have them as part of the new Senko Europe distribution network.
