Garages and Exhaust Gases

The requirement for monitoring exhaust gases can arise in almost any scenario.  We have supplied equipment to supermarkets and haulage firms for when they have lorries stood in warehouses.  We have done similar things for factories using diesel powered forklift trucks indoors.

                

There are two gases that concern us here, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide.  The main thing to remember is that although almost all specifications will call for carbon monoxide detection, if the risk comes from diesel engined vehicles, as it often does, there is a much greater risk from nitrogen dioxide.  A comparison chart is below;
